I was excited when Chez Xue first opened and from the start, have always loved and will recommend the godfather noodles and the green onion pancakes. However, while the other food is solid, I haven't found anything else to be super memorable so far. The chili fried chicken lacks the pizzaz of chili fried chicken I've had at other places. The mapo tofu could use a little more flavor and spice. The space is clean and airy. Service is efficient enough and merits the 18% auto-gratuity that is put on the meal. Prices are a bit on the high side, but they have some lunch plates that might be ok for solo diners.

Dang, it was BUSY in here when I came even though it was a Wednesday. There was a ton of people coming in for a table all at once, and a crazy amount of takeout orders were also flying out of the kitchen. We still got our food in pretty good time! We ordered the fried tofu, which came smothered in a spicy sauce with mushrooms (and of course, went great on top of rice). The star for me was the braised green bean noodles, though. They were pretty savory but didn't get heavy on the palate, and I appreciated that the green beans were just the way I like it- very soft but still a tiny bit crunchy. Service was also excellent, especially from the server who told us he was new to the job! He checked up on everyone despite there being so many people. Overall impressed with this restaurant, and I'm glad we checked it out!

Highly recommend this spot for Chinese food. Godfather noodles are definitely unique and a must try, and the classic general tsu (tsao) is a winner. The food comes out incredibly fast and fresh. We ordered way too much food for 2. Will return!

Pretty solid spot for Chinese food! We stopped by for their cilantro beef and ordered the godfather noodles (spicy ground pork mixed noodles) and stir fried pork belly with lotus root as well. Everything was pretty good but the cilantro beef was our favorite with lots of fresh herbs and crunchy celery to balance out the minced beef. The dishes can be a bit oily but good to eat alongside rice. It is a bit pricey though since rice is extra and for the noodles we opted for hand cut noodles which were an additional cost. As others have mentioned there is a 18% service fee in lieu of tip which is obvious when you walk in.

Can't believe we never came here after seeing it for so many years! It's definitely on the more expensive side of Chinese food but it's good! Went on a Tuesday night and it wasn't busy at all, not sure if it's because it's a weekday but there were a lot of take out orders. They automatically add an 18% tip to the bill, so with our three orders of food and the service fee, it was about $70. We ordered: Godfather's Noodles - on the spicy side so if you like that these noodles are a definite yes. Pork Potstickers - double the size of regular potstickers and pretty good, definitely made in-house. Honey Walnut Prawns - nice breading and even sauce over every prawn. Overall would come again and want to try more off the menu.

Food was good. God father noodles were highly recommended. Very flavorful but spicy. They only do it spicy. Someone said avoid the peppers but it hard to since it's finely chopped. A little will go a long way. :) Hand cut noodles were good, right amount if sticky and fresh Green onion pancake was very thick and fluffy. I did take out, the gentleman that helped me was super nice. 730 pm 10/15/24 Very spacious area, good for large and small groups. No tipping, they add an automatic percentage for dine in and carry out.

Let me start by saying I have seen this place so many times and had no idea what it was. Looking on Yelp for dinner and I can across the reviews. Sounded good so we thought we would try it. Reviews are all over the show. Our experience- Yes the signs are confronting and no they don't substitute or alter. They know their food and what taste they are after. I can appreciate that no problem. We orders 1 Godfather noodles 1 Orange chicken 1 green onion pancake 1 potstickers Ok so for two people, this was dinner and lunch the next day. With pancake still left over. Godfather noodles!! This is where it's at. Get the hand cut noodles! Don't worry if they appear sticky and weird, mix the sauce and let your tastebuds go on a magical journey! They are this good! The orange chicken! Oh yeah! This is some outstanding flavors. No it is not like Panda thank goodness! It's sweet but savory, it's good quality chicken pieces and a lot of them. It's beautiful orange flavors! Yum! Potstickers are delicious but definitely shadowed by the amazingness of the other two entrees. Green onion pancake - I wanted to love this. I didn't. Don't get me wrong it was delicious. It really was, but I think it or I needed something more saucy with it. To soak up something. It was soft and tasty and a lot of it. We got too much food but it was so good! It reheated well. We will be back.

The cilantro beef was their famous dish and it exceeded my expectation with great taste (light, aromatic) yet balance with vegetables and cilantro. I did not get it normal spicy but will do that next time. Service was excellent. Note that 18% service charge is automatically added for dinning in (7% for take out) so they asked that you do not leave any tip. Ambiance is clean, cozy and modern Chinese restaurant. Will definitely come back and try their other dishes. Highly recommended!
